We are 90% microbes. And if we have the right mix of microbes in our guts we can protect ourselves against obesity, diabetes, inflammation, heart disease and auto immune diseases. Right now, I’m developing a gut health course with some great recipes and a strong focus on fermented foods (a key ingredient for a healthy gut) which I want to bring to you very soon. More on this in later blogs.
Talking of latest developments , we are taking bookings for a brand new course on vegan Mexican food. We’ll make tortillas from scratch, build a spicy pickle, and learn what the Mexicans do with a squash – seeds and all. And did I mention the Mexican soundtrack?
Branching out beyond food, but still with a focus on wellbeing, we have new courses where you can learn how to make household cleaning products and cosmetics from planet-friendly, raw ingredients. Details, on the website.
Of course, the old favourites- Mediterranean, Spanish and Mexican quick cooking – are as popular as ever. Now that restrictions have been lifted, people seem keen to get back to being sociable again in our spacious kitchen.
On the subject of Covid and it’s aftermath, as you an see above, we managed to make the most of our free time to develop new courses. I even passed a postgraduate certificate in education for post-16 learners. Now that I have an in-depth grasp on how people learn, I will be tweaking the classes to further improve your experience. Your feedback is most welcome!
I look forward to seeing you at Get Cooking in the near future.
