I always love Farsley in December – getting into the Christmas festive mood and finding all sorts of special gifts . It always feels good to support local (and ethical) businesses too and I would love to share my Christmassy ideas with you…
Lets start with Sunny Bank Mills & shop, full of prints, jewellery, ceramics and a hundred other things including lots of work by local artists . And all of this in a lovely old old mill setting where you can treat yourself to fresh coffee and gorgeous home-made cake. A particularly good time to go is when they hold their Christmas market, or one of their craft or vintage fairs. The other place I often pick up the odd gift is Whiteley’s Farm Shop overlooking Post Hill- located in nearby Pudsey and you can go and choose your own Christmas tree (from the field) – great if you fancy a winter walk too. Then there is Farsley Farmers Market , where if you are lucky you will find some of Emily’s Secret Garden Cosmetics. I love the white chocolate and vanilla body butter- it’s totally luxurious!
Not forgetting of course the ultimate Christmas experience present – a Get Cooking gift voucher that can be used for any course, class or workshop – from Breadmaking to Reflexology & Herbalism, as well as our great range of cooking courses.
