Brew your own craft ale / real beer classes are a great way to get fully acquainted with the beer making process – as you will be making your own ale from scratch with Andy and Steve. This is an interactive session, we provide the equipment, ingredients and knowledge, you make the ale!
It will be light hearted (we don’t take ourselves too seriously) interesting and informative as well as practical. You will also be provided with a light lunch of bread, cheese, cold meats and salad, washed down with some samples of ale for those who would like…
By the end of the day you will have the skills to go home and do this yourself.
What you take away:
You will take home with you a fermenter of beer your have made (about 20 pints) which weighs around 10 Kilos – we recommend someone picks you up / get a taxi if you are going to have samples.

Steve and Andy are extremely enthusiastic about making brewing craft ale and sharing their knowledge with others and at the heart of the Leeds craft ale Scene. Having now opened their own Micro Brewery premises on the outskirts of Leeds, they really do know all about the brewing process. This is a unique hands on Craft Ale making course where you are actually provided with the fermenting equipment and as well as the bottles to make your own craft ale. On this course Steve and Andy take you through the whole theory of brewing ; the malt, different types of hops , the water and different techniques that can be used. Not only do you go away with a clear understanding of the process but 12 bottles of your own beer

Yes – there is a large free secure car park at Springfield Mill Commercial Centre where we are based.

Yes there is wheelchair access to the cookery school, a wheelchair accessible toilet and two of our workstations can be lowered for wheelchair use – just let us know at the time of booking.
We would not normally take any more than 10 bookings per course (sometimes less).
Yes absolutely. We welcome everyone on our courses whether you are an experienced or inexperienced cook. We provide extra support to whoever might need it!
