About Emily

Emily Carey has been teaching people to cook classic and original dishes for over 8 years, driven by her passion to make home cooking more widely accessible.

Her childhood, in a home where great food, especially Mediterranean cooking was cherished, started her off on a journey of discovery and exploration. She developed an eye for good recipes and learning what foods work well together, adding to this a flair for bringing food and people together, and that became the basis for Get Cooking.

With a simple start in 2010, and the opening of an exciting and unique venue in Farsley in 2016, she has continually incorporated fresh ideas into the business.

About Liz Cooper

Liz Cooper gained a BSc(Hons) degree in Nutritional Health from the University of Greenwich and a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the UK College of Nutrition and Health (BCNH). She is the founder of Yorkshire Nutrition where she  runs nutritional therapy clinics and employee well being workshops.

With a wealth of experience, she will be available to answer all of your questions and advise you on controlling portion size,  healthy cooking techniques, how to reduce fatigue and improve energy levels and inspire you with some healthy meal ideas.

The dishes were all really delicious and healthy, I’ll be making them all again! It was also really good to get to speak to a qualified Nutritionist and get some of my questions answered. Thank you!
