Feed yourself well with fibres & fermented foods (Gut Health)

A fun and more encompassing interactive gut health class where you learn about fibres, prebiotic & probiotic food and drinks to nurture gut health

A fun and more encompassing interactive gut health class. You first learn about the benefits of eating different kinds of vegetables & other plants, then join us in making a couple of very simple dishes – the way of serving up food Emily feels most passionate about.

Emily then helps you understand more about what the gut microbiota is and what our amazing bacteria can do. She goes on to show you how to easily prepare some fermented foods from scratch, giving you the knowledge to  take away, along with your filled up jars.

Inside our bodies there is a whole universe of forty trillion bacteria busy at work. They transform the food we eat and are now understood to have a huge impact on our health in several ways. Fermented foods play a crucial role in feeding our gut microbiota so its great to have the knowledge to nurture and manipulate this through the food we eat.

Demonstration dishes:

Steamed asparagus or green beans with home-made vinaigrette dressing (v) Ⓥ
Roasted courgettes, aubergines, fennel, pepper, red onion and baby tomatoes with home-
made harissa dressing (v) Ⓥ

We then make as a group:

Water kefir / variations (v) Ⓥ
Simple sauerkraut (clip jar & pickling stone provided) (v) Ⓥ
Spicy pickled radishes or cucumbers (v) Ⓥ
